Shake Down – Live Music Video Shoot
We were asked to shoot a live music video shoot on January 16, 2014. This was held at the Ritz Theater in Corpus Christi. The headliner was The Shake Down from Corpus.
The first act for the night was the lead singer from Velvet Crush. This is an Austin band and the lead singer came to open up the video shoot.
This shoot would not have been possible without the help of Pablo Schmitt. He is a fellow video producer from Corpus Christi and help this project greatly.
Another big thank you goes out to Carlos Hayne of Enlightened Images for loaning video gear. Thanks man.
For this test video shoot we used 6 cameras
Our primary cameras were stage left and right on jib arms. We had two additional cameras in the balcony, and one setup on a slider. Oh yea, and a gopro mounted up on stage. Lets just say there was a lot of running around with just two camera operators.
Cameras used for this production
- Sony NEX FS-100
- Sony FX-1000
- Sony AX-2000
- Sony NEX-7
- Canon 7D
- GoPro H2
Music Video Production Edit
We use Sony Vegas video editing software to complete our production. It’s multi camera tool is very useful for cutting back and forth when you have a lot o camera angles.
Here is a sneak peek clip from the opening act, Velvet Crush.
We hope to have more clips from the Shake Down’s live music production soon. Thanks for watching and come back soon.
